I started taking photographs at 16 in my hometown, Budapest. I’ve had the privilege of studying in some of the finest schools from Budapest to Rome and New York. Since 2006, I’ve been fortunate to call Italy home. And now… well, I’m almost 40 and proud to say I’m a photographer in Rome wiith over twenty years of experience in photography.
I am…
I was born in Budapest in 1985. From an early age, I developed a passion for photography, starting to shoot with my father’s analog Praktica camera. While pursuing a degree in Aesthetics with the goal of becoming an art curator, I studied photography in Budapest at the Fotografus.hu Institute. In 2006, I moved to Rome, where I earned a second degree in Ancient Philosophy at “La Sapienza” University, followed by a PhD at the Lateran University. At the same time, I continued my studies in what had by then become my profession.
Regarding photography, I refined my skills at the Scienza e Tecnica School of the Municipality of Rome and at the Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia Adams. In the audiovisual field, I studied at the Roberto Rossellini Institute of Film and Television and, after winning a scholarship, at the New York Film Academy in NYC. Later, I obtained certification in Avid Media Composer. My most recent studies focus on ancient and experimental photographic printing techniques.
From 2018 to 2023, I worked in documentary film production at Lambda Srl in Rome. In 2022-2023, I was a lecturer in Documentary Preparation at Kodolányi University. Over the years, I have been involved in the pre-production, production, and post-production of audiovisual projects. The documentary Operazione Budapest, for which I was the author, director of photography, and editor, received a special mention at the Santa Monica Festival in 2019.
My recent works include directing and editing a series of experimental videos for TAXI! 2 by Swiss Radio and Television, audiovisual research for a series of documentaries on the Vatican for the Belgian television network Panenka, and editing for The Art of Connections exhibition by Barabási LAB in Boston, presented at the MEET Center in Milan.
Some of my photographs have been featured in albums and exhibitions in Hungary, Italy, and Spain. In 2023, my project won the LILT Prize for Contemporary Photography.
